Early Career + Passion Projects

I have been fortunate to have opportunities to use my skills to help people or causes I believe in and work on projects I love.

Check out a few of my favorites below.

deltree

I had the opportunity to work with and learn from the Deltree crew, specifically overseeing the music supervision for brand projects that spun off their viral and Webby award-winning 50 People 1 Question series. Brands included BMW Guggenheim Lab, DC Entertainment, Coca-Cola, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Post Secret.

My role gained me experience in contract negotiation, project management, and content creation. I was able to spend a lot of time in the editing room with the director, producer, and editor as we worked through the sound design of each project. I also learned about video production and storytelling and what makes content resonate through a human, emotional connection.

Arts Council
of New Orleans

The Arts Council of New Orleans is a private, non-profit organization designated as the City's official arts agency. As a Marketing Assistant, I worked with our Marketing Director to develop, plan, and implement all of the organization's marketing and public relations efforts. I worked specifically on relaunching our website, ArtsNewOrleans.org, a promotional tool for the arts community to promote their work and events.

Andrew Duhon

I worked with singer-songwriter Andrew Duhon to help him with a social and publicity strategy to release his β€˜False River’ record.

I helped connect Andrew with industry contacts and work a deal with a publicist in Nashville. We also worked together to better understand his social, email and web presence and defined a strategy for each platform.

Marketing For Change

I think secretly; everyone wants to change the world. During my time at Marketing for Change, I felt like we were.

My time at M4C taught me how to use traditional media platforms like TV, radio, and out-of-home advertising to influence human behaviors. I worked closely with the executive, creative, and research directors through the ideation and implementation of our campaigns. I also helped conduct multiple focus groups and surveys.

Brain Book

We worked with Broward County (FL) Public Schools to create a social norms campaign to discourage underage alcohol use. Knowing that teens hate being told what to do, we created the Brain booklet with brain health info presented in a fun way. The manual was shared with students, street teams and installed as posters in bathroom stalls. I am credited for research and copywriting on this project. View the entire case study here.
